Pre-Run Checklist

Print checklist

Run this on the cart before every match. One named person owns it and signs off. A printable one-page version should be available for the pit cart.

Power

• Fresh battery, 12.7 V+ resting
• Battery strapped down, Anderson connector tight
• Main breaker on; PDH/PDP, radio, and roboRIO powered with good status lights

Controls

• No CAN faults in Driver Station
• Correct code version deployed
• Auto routine selected and confirmed with drive team

Mechanical

• Wiggle test: no loose bolts, wires, or connectors
• Belts and chains tensioned; no frayed or skipping belts
• No printed parts carrying torque (pulleys, gears, hubs)

Systems check

• Run every mechanism once: drive, intake, shooter/arm, elevator, climber

Field-ready

• Bumpers on, correct alliance color, secured

Post-match inspection

• Look for cracked, bent, or loose parts
• Check belts, chains, and bores for wear
• Note anything that needs fixing before the next queue
